I had to make an account just to thank Witchblade for her pics of extra areas. I used to the one outside of Pogahn Passage (the part at the top of the outpost) and jumped me up and out of the blasted 99.9%. I really appreciate those pics you have uploaded, and I thank you very very very very very very very very very very very very much.

1: You need to hug outside where the wall curves
\_

2: You already got it

Look at Witchblade's blackspots if you haven't on the previous page.

You don't hug in that one. You have to finish the mission and, I don't know if this confirms it but, move in the cutscene spam pressing Q and E sometimes A and D all together. You'll side step.

I'm on 99.9% now. Was stuck at 99.7% but then I installed the older version and that one gave me 0.2.% extra. This is the last spot I can find with the newest version:

(I have explored that little piece in gandara after I made this img)

With the ""green"" version I have 1 spot remaining in barberous shore.

Nvm found some other spots, got it maxed now. Thanks for your help.

EDIT: Fixed it

This might be a dumb question, but why is it my map looks like this (attachment)

but everyone else has a map with more than 1 color? Makes it harder to find uncovered areas on sand when my map is 1 color like it is.

Question

I have 2 questions.

I use TexMod to do map checks and my question is, what are the red spots?

also, does anyone have a 100% map with TexMod with a higher resolution than 1024x768 and no higher than 1440x900? if you do, I would very much appreciate it if you could let me have it.

Red spots? I'm not sure. I do know that some UI enhancements for FFFers add red spots onto maps to help when doing FFF runs, but if this is Elona, I'm not sure.

So you're asking for a map with 100% completion, with texmod? It will be the same as any other 100% map.

No, I mean like this map, except in a bigger resolution (like 1280x1024 or something):

Venerac, when I was doing map checks with that I did it the lazy way: reduced the size of GW window to be roughly square-like, screenshot it, port into Photoshop and reduce the size (by croping and actual image reduction) to roughly 1024X768 (map size I was checking against), then did the standard map check procedure.

Default Help with Elonian Cartographer...

I know there are many threads on guides and tips on how to unfog maps and stuff, but I am here to gain people's experiences on which areas that were least unexpected that they fogged to gain that extra .x%.

And also to get help to get my last .5%!

So please do not close this.

I've tried the guide in the Pinned thread above, but seems hopeless now as I already gone through it thoroughly and stuck on my last .5%

I want to know other peoples experiences to see which spots they unfogged that was least unexpected.

Please post pictures if possible and label or point out the spots you are talking about.

And one more thing, does zoning into portals and going in the opposite direction add %? (I found this tip on the Pinned thread above)

Well, I actually did Elonian before I found out about the threads and got stuck on 99.9% for a very long time. I had scraped Gandara in the Magrid mission, but turning right as soon as you get off the boat in the consulate docks mission gave me the last .1% I needed.

Other than that, I tended to ignore scraping towns, but after doing all of the explorables and the junduu competitive mission, I found a good .3-.4% scraping the edges of towns, getting behind npcs/chests/statues/other obstacles.

And since it's almost go home time on a friday and I feel like being nit-picky...I'm pretty sure you mean *most* unexpected, and the least unexpected place would be, well, the first time you walk into any given explorable

Exit Remains, go left, hug the wall.
